So, as a gift to myself for my 21st Birthday...
Well...one of them.
I drew a little bit of one of my guilty pleasures.

About this piece:

I really wanted to draw more fanart for this pairing...it doesn't have a very large fan base, so there isn't much for it out there...and what is out there isn't always very good. D:

So, I debated a while on how I wanted to draw the pair...
I didn't want to make it too lovey-dovey, and wanted it to be somewhat in character, but I also wanted to draw them much older than they are portrayed in the show, (The characters are like, 8, or something...) at more of a highschool age.

So, this got me thinking about some of the music I used to listen to in Highschool and I figured that would be a good place to start for a little insperation.

One of my favorite groups back then (when I was a lot more of a badass than I am, now... xD I was kind of an immature asshole. Lol. Ya know, the kind who dented lockers in the halls and broke his knuckles chasing off stupid people who thought they were bad enough to take me on. Pfft!) was Mindless Self Indulgence.

Two of my favorite songs at the time were "Shut Me Up" and "Straight To Video".
These songs were what I listened to to get into the grove.
After a night of listening to them over and over again (mostly Shut Me Up) I got to work.

The idea? Cartman, a character who is commonly called "fat" was beating Kenny up for his lunch money before school (or more likely one of those school lunch coupons they give to kids who can't afford school lunch) so he can have more to eat for lunch without cutting into his video game money. xDD

Kenny (who has a crush on the over-weight bully in this piece) is enjoying the attention he's getting from his beloved....however negative it may be...and comments with some pervy statement about how he'd preffer Cartman (or as he lovingly reffers to him, "Fatass") to spank him instead. This making Cartman blush, turns to yell obsenities at the poeple listening in behind him (porbably Stan and Kyle) in a failed attempt to still seem tough.

The Making of this Piece:

As per usual, I first scetched this peice with a .5 mechanical pencil. Then, went back over and cleaned up the sketch (Removing any unneeded lines, over complications, missed mistakes, ect...). After that, I lined the peice with my favorite liner, a Sarpie brand no-bleed, fine point pen, and colored the blush with a "Shock Pink" copic marker. :3

As for the coloring...I used a mixture of copic markers, colored pencils, and acrylic paint.

Everything (sans the background, snow, white highlights, and skintone) were done first in copic maker, blending and mixing various colors as needed, than layered for more texture and depth with colored pencils. (Grays, browns, black...)

The skin tones (including the blushes) are purely colored pencil and took a ton of layers to finish.

The snow and highlights (in the eyes and on Kenny's bottom lip) are white acrylic paint, and the back ground is a mix of a couple different blue acrylic paints. ^^
