I. Love. How this came out.
I am uber proud of this one.
I was inspired by the idea of Harley's little song in Arkham City and how beautifully creepy it was...that, coupled with my love for the arc of HUSH and it's influence in Jason's return from the grave.
I wanted to show Jason just before his death and then again after his return to life being fueled by anger.
I also rewrote the song to more reflect Jason's story...a bit.
I think the most fun thing to draw was older Jason...though, when is it ever not fun to draw enraged Jason Todd? xDD
Next was probably the blood and tears on little Jay's face.
My least favorite parts to draw were Joker's hand and the teeth.
I. HATE. DRAWING. TEETH.
For some reason, no matter how I draw 'em, they never look right to me. *shrugs*
Everything was done in graphite pencil sans the words, which were added in later digitally because my hand writing is...well, awful. xDD
I didn't use too many references for this one...surprisingly. >__> Especially since I had my Batman: Hush book ready in case I needed to look at anything.
But, no...I only looked at a comic snippet I have of Jason Todd looking over his death certificate and newspaper clippings of the Joker's crimes since his passing which I used as a reference for older Jason's mouth, just to get the idea of the shape I needed.
Other than that, it was pretty much from memory.
If anyone would mind inking this for me, I would truly appreciate it. ^^
As always, please enjoy! And don't be afraid to let me know what you think. I always love hearing what everyone thinks of my work.
